Yavapai County, AZ: You’ve probably seen the cartoon style blue trucks with the large superhero plumber going down local streets. Since 1987 the Plumbing Store has been known for providing area residents with expertise in all areas of plumbing – from installation and parts to service and maintenance. They have been entrusted by thousands of Quad-City residents with their most valuable possession – their home or business. But after all these years, owners Bill and Kim Gagnon decided it was time to change the name. “We moved away from the retail parts and store style business a few years ago. We only handle onsite plumbing contracts, so our name no longer fit our business model. But so many people love our superhero theme, so we are keeping that part of the brand. We came up with a name that we felt was the best name to describe our plumbers and the kind of expert service they provide. AZ Super Plumber just fit. We do pride ourselves on being “heroes” to anyone who needs plumbing done right” stated Kim. The only thing that is changing is their name and a new logo – with of course, the same style superhero. “We were lucky enough to hire the same illustrator who lives here in Prescott, Everette Davidson, to update our plumbing superhero icon,” Kim continued. “Our signage and trucks are currently being redone and we look forward to seeing the new fresh brand out in the community.”
The Plumbing Store was opened on Miller Valley in the old Quonset hut metal building in 1987. Bill learned the trade of the business from his father, Bill, who was a plumber for more than 35 years. The couple’s son William has followed in his dad’s footsteps and is now a plumber with the company. “It truly is a local family business. Kim handles all the scheduling, marketing and hiring of our staff. I’m hands on in the field and also train future plumbers,” stated Bill. It’s a big responsibility to own a plumbing company. People need you and they need you right away in most cases. “We take this responsibility very seriously.
